Stop being closed off.

Two of Swords

The tarot card of the day is the reversed Two of Swords.

Decisions, decisions. When you pull The Two of Swords in the upright position, it shows a blindfolded woman sitting on a seashore while holding two crossed swords. It tells us that we have decisions to make. But when the card appears in reverse, the woman looks to be digging in. And you shall dig in - for you are almost out of time to make your decision.

The Two of Swords normally appears in a tarot reading when an obstacle has presented itself in your life. Maybe you just went through a big shift in life, like moving to a big city or a job change. And just like the woman in the card who chooses to keep her blindfold on, you are closed off to additional information.

All you do is sit, dig into your deepest mind, without coming to any resolution. The card is telling you that the longer you sit here, the harder it will be to move. Finally, everything turns stagnant and the big momentum is gone.

The only wrong decision is no decision.

Two is about duality, and the swords have a very strong dualistic nature. Your mind is stuck in this bridge between good and bad, right and wrong. It is so easy to freak out. Maybe you think that if you just WORRY long enough the answer will become clear. But, there is no right or wrong choice - there is only a decision. And the only wrong decision is no decision.

Stop agonizing and make a move. If you sit here long enough, you will become fossilized. The Two of Swords reversed is urging you to act even if it feels risky or scary.

Take a step outside your mind.

This mind block is starting to wear you down. You want to make a decision, but your mind just won't let you. In order to get unstuck, it's going to take a step outside of your comfort zone and daily routine. This is the time for some radical self-care. Get out of your head and into your body. Do something that makes you feel good - something just for you. This can be anything from going for a run to cooking a new recipe. As long as it's something that gets you out of your head, it will do the trick.

When you reach the moment where the mind just stops and goes, "Ugh, that's it, I've had enough!" And then - DING DING DING! You finally find the answer. That is what happens when you step outside of the mind. The Two of Swords in reverse implies a reminder that you always have a choice. And sometimes, the best way to make a decision is to just stop thinking about it so much.

Leave the state of denial.

Sometimes, we can be in denial of how stubborn we can be mentally. You are making excuses that the time you spent is necessary to make a decision. But that is not always the case. If you find yourself in a rut, it may be time to take the Two of Swords (Reversed) as a sign to leave the state of denial and face your fears.

First, let's dig into romantic relationships. If you are single and can't choose between two potential lovers, perhaps it's because you know neither of them is right for you. Yet, you remain in denial because you desperately need a partner. Sweetie, it may be time to let go and see what else is out there for you. The same goes for a relationship that's on the rocks. You know it's not working, but you are denying it because you don't want to face the pain of a breakup.

When it comes to your career, the card may be telling you that it's time for a change. If you're unhappy with your current job, but you're in denial about it, this card is a sign that it's time to make a move. Take that leap of faith and pursue your dream job.

Making choices can be tough, especially when you feel a lot hangs in the balance. What you need is some clarity. Go ahead and list all the pros and cons for each option. This will help you to see each situation more objectively. After that, it's time to sit with your intuition and see what feels right for you in your gut.
