Much of the Christian struggle arises with moral debates. What is right, and what is wrong? How do people properly handle it when wrongdoers are perpetuating their sins unto others? Media teaches people to retaliate, and seek revenge–but you know that isn’t My will. This mixed messaging can cause some confusion for your moral compass.

The Parable of the Persistent Widow teaches that godly justice rises up above all else, even when little faith is present. Justice and faith go hand in hand; you cannot have justice without faith, nor faith without justice.

Only I can truly weigh the scales of judgment, but you can do your part, too. Your intuition will know the truth, and you must follow your intuition for true justice to be served.

Faith in Justice

Seeking justice from Me can feel like making hundreds of calls to the same phone number and needing to leave voicemails for every attempt. Rest assured, I never ignore those calls; I just have a long list to respond to.

In the meantime, you may want to lash out in anger. This will have the opposite effect of what you wanted, for what can you accomplish on Earth that I cannot accomplish in Heaven on a grander scale? Let Me handle it, and you will be pleasantly surprised by the results.

To get an idea of what’s right and wrong–is this person’s actions righteous? Were they pure-hearted, or sinful? Looking at the motivation behind actions might make it easier to put them into perspective. However, the most important factor to remember is whether or not someone’s actions go with or against My will and values.

Make a Choice

When you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place, do a moral evaluation. Think about what it would be like to live in someone else’s shoes, even if just for an hour. Usually, their motivations become clear rather quickly, and it’s easier to have compassion, thereby letting Me handle the rest to serve justice in My way.

Reflect on these words today

If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever.

— Jeremiah 7:5-7

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
