Modern media encourages revenge. It paints revenge as this freeing, almighty thing that can alleviate you of major stressors. The reality is, though, that revenge goes against My will in most instances, for there is never a situation that you’re put in that I cannot handle.

As tempting as it is to key your ex-partner’s car, hold off for a moment. Like Jesus, succumb to My will and watch as justice prevails. Only I can conduct the revenge that you seek, but you must leave it up to me to make judgments against fellow men. Forgiveness, as a result, is justice.

Forgiving others for their wrongs against you or anyone else is the easiest way to help me enact godly justice upon them. There is a lot of power in compassion, and sometimes, those who have wronged us the most need the most compassion.

There Are No “Bad Guys”

My children, you focus so much on grand narratives in your stories. These stark battles of light versus darkness, with villains yearning for dominion and heroes wielding righteous fury.

The world, however, is not painted in such simple strokes. True growth lies not in vanquishing some ultimate evil, but in the daily mending. There will be conflict, there will be those who stray, but true victory lies in reconciliation.

Build bridges, not walls. Seek understanding, not dominance. Let compassion be your weapon, and forgiveness your shield. In the grand tapestry of existence, these acts, these threads of kindness, weave a far more beautiful story.

Leave the grand pronouncements and ultimate judgments to me. Yours is the work of love, the patient mending of what is broken. In your hands lies the power to create a world far more wondrous than any tale you could ever imagine.

Peace In Forgiveness

My children, forgiveness is not weakness, but strength. It frees you from anger's grip, bringing peace.

And from that peace, true justice can flow, for a clear heart sees the path to mend the broken. Forgive, and build a world where peace brings forth justice.

Reflect on these words today

For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish.

— Psalm 37:28

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

— Psalm 37:5-6
