TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE ON FORTITUDE
Sunday, 22 December 2024
Strength resides within you, a gift from Me. Though trials come, I walk beside you, ever your guide.
Everyone experiences their own set of challenging circumstances. This is not without reason. I place you in situations that challenge you so you can grow and become the highest version of yourself that I created for you long before you were even born.
Remember, those who followed Jesus were rebellious. My son stood for values that didn’t align with the time He lived in, but He pursued them relentlessly, still, because He knew that My word was righteous. Think back to the New Testament, when following Jesus Christ could result in a loss of everything you hold dear.
It may not be that extreme now, in modern contexts, but it is still an act of rebellion to pursue life with God’s will in mind, moving with fortitude along the way.
From Me, Within You
Fortitude is a quiet strength within you, a compass guiding you towards what's right. It's like a powerful instinct, urging you to follow a righteous path even when it's unpopular.
Remember Daniel in the lion's den? Faced with false accusations and a deadly threat, he didn't waver. Daniel possessed fortitude – the unwavering courage to stand by his beliefs.
Daniel 6:4 tells us he was blameless. He could have cowered in fear, but he remembered the strength I had given him. He faced the trial with courage, and his faith was rewarded.
No Mountain Too Tall
There is no mountain too tall for you to climb, for even the Lion’s Den could not stop Daniel. Even when all hope had seemingly been lost, he prayed to Me and Jesus three times a day, knowing I would hear him.
And I did!
Thereafter, Daniel prospered, because he had used the tools and lessons I had given him to go forth in fortitude.
Reflect on these words today
Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!
— Psalm 31:24
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
— Deuteronomy 31:6
