TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE ON FORTITUDE

Saturday, 26 April 2025

I have given you the strength to overcome any obstacles without fear, conquering anything that comes your way with dignity and Holiness.

Life can come with a number of challenges. They can be daunting, overwhelming, and even scary. But you have the strength to overcome them all, as I have given that strength to you from before you were even born.

It comes from within you, passed down from me. However, fear is a signal of the human condition. It’s normal to feel fear. As you grow older, and learn from your tests, you will begin to understand how to move forward with fortitude.

Fear Ignites Courage

After some time, you’ll begin to alchemize fear knowing you have my strength to guide you. Fortitude takes courage, but sometimes, fear ignites courage. When you move past fear, you find strength you didn’t know you had!

Try doing something out of your comfort zone. It’s uncomfortable, but that initial fear can ignite courage. It’s always been in you, but sometimes it needs a little push to come to the light.

The Bible’s most common command asks you to not be afraid. That’s not to say you can never feel fear, as that is unrealistic. Instead, the command is asking you to move past that fear instead of living in it. Don’t let it consume you and prevent you from walking towards the destiny that I have designed.

Strong and Courageous

The Bible’s command to be strong and courageous is simply a call from within. To see the results of that call, you must put fortitude into practice, but you can do so with ease, for you were born with it.

Remember, I would never give you an obstacle you didn’t have the resilience to overcome.

Reflect on these words today

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

— Joshua 1:9

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

— Psalm 23:4
