TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE ON PRUDENCE
Saturday, 26 April 2025
None of My children are perfect by design, but I always guide them towards grace.

There is much to be said about prudence and the stubbornness of human nature. People don’t like being corrected; they think that one mistake makes them a bad Christian, or worse yet, a bad person! That couldn’t be farther from the truth, as people need to make mistakes so they can grow.
Prudent Christians are necessary for our faith to survive. I encourage my children to make mistakes, for that is the only way they can prepare themselves to meet me on the Heavenly plane when their time comes.
Welcome Correction with Open Arms
When you are wrong, it is easy to lash out as your initial reaction. Nobody likes being wrong, and nobody enjoys being corrected. This is especially true if you are strong in your convictions, which most Christians are.
But you shouldn’t be discouraged or disappointed when you need to learn from a mistake. Instead, take it as an opportunity to grow and become a better person. Your whole identity does not need to transform because of one simple issue.
In fact, someday in the future, you’ll be glad that this mistake happened. You’ll be glad you showcased some humanity, and that you weren’t a perfect robot. The lessons you’re learning right now will be completely transformative for years to come.
So, I say: continue to make more mistakes!
The Prudent Always Win
Prudent Chritians bask in the glow of being corrected. They know that their corrections make them one step closer to me. That’s why I encourage mistakes! Your walk with me is not meant to be linear, and it never has been.
To expect it to be such would be impossible.
Every day, keep your heart eager to learn. The more thirsty you are for knowledge, the closer you can get to me. I love it when my children are consistently improving themselves, giving themselves room to grow into their best selves.
So, next time someone corrects you on your journey, don’t recoil or let it ruin your day. Instead, write it down. Keep a journal about it. Understand that it will happen again, and look forward to it!
Reflect on these words today
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
— Proverbs 27:12
I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.
— Proverbs 8:12
